Girls Sparks + Flames
Tennessee HEAT Girls Basketball presents the SPARKS + FLAMES Girls Basketball Camp!
This high-energy program is designed to introduce girls to the fundamentals of basketball through fun, engaging ball-handling development—and it all leads up to a special halftime performance during Tennessee HEAT girls’ home games!
The Sparks is perfect for beginners who are just learning to dribble and handle the basketball. These young athletes will be guided through foundational skills and introductory routines in a supportive, encouraging environment.
The Flames is for girls with some basketball experience who are ready to take their ball-handling skills to the next level. This group will learn more advanced techniques and routines to further elevate their game.
At the end of the camp, Sparks and Flames will come together to showcase their progress in an exciting halftime performance—highlighting every level of growth, teamwork, and confidence!
Ages
Sparks + Flames is for homeschooled girls ages 6-10 (as of August 1 of this calendar year).
When
Program consists of 7 one-hour practice sessions and 3 home game showcases (scheduled between October-December).
Where
Practices are held at Jones Brummett Elementary School in Lebanon. Showcases are performed at First Baptist Church in Lebanon.
What is provided
The $80 fee covers a t-shirt, snacks at practices, and free entry for every Tennessee HEAT home basketball game (for the participant). A $25 discount is provided for 10U summer league athletes!
what’s expected
Please be aware that you are committing to these practices and performances. You are joining a team, and since the performances are all coordinated together, it is vital for everyone to be at the practices so that they can all be unified in their performances.
Extra Costs
Family members should expect to pay admission at the Tennessee HEAT home games.
